Almost every place in Ubud has a romantic vibe to be enjoyed with that special someone, be it nature, cultural attractions & performances, or romantically set accommodations such as a villa in Ubud Bali. I went to Ubud plenty of times to have a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a babymoon or just to spend a nice and intimate weekend with my significant other. Whether you plan to spend an intimate honeymoon or want to have a romantic adventure experience in Ubud, Bali, I have summarized a few romantic escape ideas for you and your loved one.

When we were staying in Asvara Villa Ubud last weekend, I feel that it was the perfect villa for a romantic getaway in Ubud that we’ve been looking for. The vibe, the design, and the facilities are set to give us the best stay experience possible. One particular thing I love about Asvara Villa Ubud is the bed that is top-notch. The queen size bed is not too hard but also not too soft either. I had a very good sleep here. The bedroom is also equipped with smart home appliances such as Netflix and Alexa. A wooden partition separated the bedroom and the living room. We had breakfast here instead of at the pool the next morning.

The luxury villa in Ubud is set to give us privacy and serenity, no noise could be heard from our surroundings. We then spent the whole afternoon swimming in its private pool and soaking in the stylish jacuzzi. The outdoor shower is located right next to the pool and is connected to the bathroom door.

Asvara Villa Ubud Bali is truly the best romantic villa in Ubud you could imagine. Just like us, when you’re staying here, the tranquility and comfort of it will make you forget the outer world. You could easily spend your time here, enjoying the intimacy with your special one. You could also add romantic surprises to complete your stays, such as candle light dinner, a floating candle on the pool, or flower decoration in the pool or jacuzzi. 

Located in Tegallalang, Asvara Villa Ubud Bali is surrounded by the stunning mother nature of Ubud. Pretty close to the villa in Ubud Bali is the Campuhan Ridge Walk where you could take a romantic stroll and enjoy the breathtaking view. The villa in Ubud Bali is also only 15 minutes drive away from the main attractions in Ubud such as Monkey Forest, Ubud Market, and Ubud Palace.

2. Best Romantic Restaurant in Ubud Bali: Kebun Bistro

Located in the heart of Ubud, there is a charming French restaurant that’s too cool to be missed. Kebun Bistro is a charming Provencal-style bistro, offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a delightful atmosphere. It’s been around in Ubud since over 10 years ago, and it’s hard not to notice the romantic restaurant in Ubud, Bali since its exterior is highly aesthetically pleasing.

It’s easy to imagine you will have a fabulous romantic dinner here. The ambiance, food selection, and service are set to give you the best romantic experience in Ubud. Some menu worth trying is the menu of the day, which consists of chicken and mushroom stroganoff served in a garlic bread cob loaf, ice tea, and vanilla ice cream served with pineapple and strawberry chunks.

Overall, spending time in Kebun Bistro is always pleasant. Not only it’s great for a romantic dinner but also for reading and working since the inside part is quiet and equipped with air-conditioners, while the outdoor part is very cozy.

3. Best Coffee Place in Ubud Bali: Suka Espresso & Livingstone Holyground

The vibrant Australian-style cafe in Ubud is their 2nd outlet after they have been successful with the first outlet in Uluwatu. Suka Espresso is always seen packed with customers so it’s best if you come here earlier to start your day with a cup of espresso or americano.

I find their coffee is pretty good and I like the cafe vibe as well. The downside is they arrange the distance between one table and another quite narrowly since their cafe is not very spacious, and it might make you feel lacking privacy.

If you want some privacy and a calm atmosphere while having coffee with your special person, then head to Livingstone Holyground. The newly opened cafe & bakery with spacious indoor & outdoor seating serves good coffee and tasty Indonesian & western food. I also find their contemporary interior design dominated by green pastel colors looks cute.

4. Best Attractions/ Activities in Ubud Bali: Tegallalang & Traditional Dance Show

Ubud is blessed with picturesque nature, so why don’t you take some time to head to the nearest stunning attractions? You can have a romantic stroll with your loved one in Tegallalang, the well-known rice terrace, and take a picture hand in hand with your lover while walking through the terrace. There are also some cafes & restaurants at the edge of rice terrace, some of which have swings, so it’s time to take the couple shot!

In the evening, head to Ubud Palace to watch the traditional Balinese dance performances. You can buy tickets on Ubud’s main street near the palace. The Legong, Barong, and Rangda dance performances take around one hour and there are usually multiple shows per evening. A great experience for your romantic escapade in Ubud Bali!
